If you fancy a little drive down the peninsula you will come across 2 beautiful National Trust venues – Castle Ward and Mount Stewart.
Castle Ward is a stunning building, set in rolling countryside, and some of Game of Thrones was filmed there. You will also find an adventure playground for the kids set in the woods.

Mount Stewart is renowned for its stunning gardens and a walk around the lake will let you enjoy these to their full extent. On the last Sunday of the month during the summer months there is a mini jazz festival and if the weather is fine there is nothing nicer than taking a picnic and lazing on the lawns listening to local, and some international, jazz stars
